2017-18 WTHL RESULTS
(Above) The champions of the 2017-18 WTHL season are Fury (women) and Tube Sharks (men). This is the Tube Sharks' first championship and Fury are former champions who have reclaimed their title!
2017-18 WIND UP
On April 20th, the MTHF hosted the league wind up social at Nicolino's (located at 2077 Pembina Hwy) where league members and their friends drank, danced, ate pizza, and captured tons of great moments thanks to Bijou Photobooths. Also, the league handed out awards to the outstanding players of the season. See the table below for the names and teams of the players who took home their all-star t-shirt and bragging rights for being tops athletes in the city.

Player of the Week
Week 7: December 3

Lloyd Rana (Rebels): Centre Back for his team who were last year's runner up in men's final. Lloyd displays great sportsmanship and leadership in every game. Helped rebels go 2-0 this past weekend vs. Titans and Tropics.
Nicole Chartrand (4 Llamas): A Goaltender and a regular 'player of the game' nominee, Nicole helped her team split their games with Gambit and last year's defending champions, Y&R.

Week 6: November 26

Owen Kemball (Thunder): Owen is a young, up and coming goalie for the junior men's club team, Thunder. He has a great attitude and is always doing his best. He's definitely a crowd favourite!
Amy Cleland (Fury): A veteran on her team, Amy scored 4 goals this week to help her team put away Phoenix Women in a decisive 19-7 victory.

Week 5: November 19

Bryce Jones (Pikeys): Bryce is a winger for the WTHL defending champions and has been consistently chipping in a handful of goals to help the Pikeys finish close games.

Cheryl Pacheco (Y & R): Also a WTHL defending champion, Cheryl was the 2016-17 season all-star goalie and it shows in the standings as Y&R have the 2nd best points-against record in the division!

Week 4: November 12

Aaron Mitchell-Dueck (Thunder): Added 10 goals to upset defending league champions Pikeys while also playing for Central Canada Team.
​
Rena Nayar (Deep Blue): Helped her team win their Sunday double header with a short bench and was the 2016-17 season playoff MVP.

Week 3: November 5

Kirby Ruetlinger (Tube Sharks): Scored 8 goals to assist in defeating the Rebels while doubling up on the Central Canada Team.

Kelly Last (Fury): Goalie recently back from a year off after knee injury. Huge reason her team is currently sitting at 5-0 in the Women's Division.

Week 2: October 29nd

Brandy Westcott (Pikeys): Scored 7 goals in his game against rival Tube Sharks. Brandy is a fan favorite and constant threat from the wing.

Brynn Lloyd (Phoenix Women): Brynn scored 6 goals to lead her team against tough opponent Gambit 19-13. She is a well-known outside shooter from the right back position.

Week 1: October 22nd

Derek Brunet (Blitz): Plays for both Blitz and the provincial development club team Thunder and is the leading scorer for both teams!

Jodian Self (Y & R)- Jodian scored 3 goals to help lead her team to a W against Gambit.
